We have had many days of sunshine and even without it, the temperatures are heavenly. This coming from someone that despises heat, humidity and snow. If you rule those things out, this area fits the bill as the highest temperature we have had was high 80's, with very low humidity. The ocean water and surrounding beach, moutains and trees change pictorially depending on the amount of sunshine, partial clouding, or fully clouded skies. We have been here long enough to see all the subtle changes that don't inhibit the beauty, just the look. We have been roaming around to different beaches and are convinced that this part of the coastline offers everything a nature lover would want in life. The temperatures are so great, no need for air conditioning and where we are staying the house could be heated by the wood stove in the winter. The past few nights we have had a fire as the temperatures often cool off quickly when the sun goes down. Being from the midwest, it is so strange to see firewood for sale at all the stores in August. Today, we found a flat beach just over the state line in California and we were able to walk for about forty-five minutes one way. Such a relaxing way to enjoy the day. We went to a "Blue Grass" concert in the afternoon at the Azalea Park and it was great having not bugs to fight off while we watched the performance. People were spread out on the park lawn with umbrellas for shade, but the weather was so nice, they looked odd to me.
